After studying physics at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz/Austria and a PHD at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg/Germany I joined the EM-group at the Department of Bioscience and Nutrition, Karolinska Institutet in January 1996. Currently Iím employed by the Royal Institute of Technology. Lately I've been working on single particle methods applied in electron crystallography and new imaging modes in electron microscopy using phase plates and special apertures.
